The 2006 racing calendar runs from 1st. January to mid May and then from July to September, although other meetings may be added as the year progresses.

During spring and autumn race meetings are scheduled for both Dos Hermanas and Mijas with racing only at Mijas during the summer, when it is too hot in Sevilla, even at night, for racing to continue.

The Spanish Derby in 2006 is scheduled for the 14th May.
